Structuralism approach with contemporary movie : super30

Let's see how "Structural approach" is applicable in "super30 movie"..




"Super30 is a 2019 biographical hindi-language film produced by Vikas Bahl, co-produced with Sajid Nadiadwala":



If we see this in contemporary times movie called "Super30". Where "Anand kumar" is a mathematician programmer, the character is represented by "Hritik Roshan" in the movie:


Narrative structure:

Description of the character:

The movie is set in "Patna" and "Anand kumar" himself is belonging to Patna. He is associated with "poor class family", has ability to gain more in his life, but due to weak financial condition, though very much prolific in "Mathematics and as it has been printed in newspaper also" but unable to give his competence a fair justice to excel in his studies further.

What is the conflict/situation:

Proposed with a proposal vs Lack of money

Then the situation "as he has been invited by Professor Richard-Cambridge university" but due to lack of monetary aspects, he is unable to go, but then remembers "the local minister's words" who had told him to help  in any difficult situation, but is denied of giving any help in the form of money. His father is also concerned for his son's further studies, and starts nurturing this dream,  though sold out his mother's jewellery, the condition of household is also at extreme stage, and lastly due to inability of arranging money, his father dies. Then all responsibilities of his father, is shouldered on "the hero's shoulder" and he starts selling "Papad", life is going on in the routine manner. But when "Mr. Lallan" comes to know, when he is fallen down from his cycle, that he is a great mathematician and also in need of money, he hires him as the tutor of "excellent coaching center" and he gets on with his work.

Conflict between selecting path, whether to be still in luxury or show concern for illiterate/poor people:

A great inspirational boy, who inspired and make him realise, of what he is doing is useless, indeed he should help the poor people with his equipped knowledge of "Mathematics" and he starts his own center, where he enrolls 30 poor students, and teach them in practical and in funny way. As the time passes, and also there is the great lose to "excellent coaching center's owner(Lallan) also, that "students prefer to study only in under observation of 'Anandkumar'" and now he isn't, and the machine of income is now no more. Then anyone perhaps at "Lallan's place would have thought as he thinks to destroy the idealism of Anandkumar".

Then again the conflict arises "Lallan wants Anandkumar Vs Anandkunar wants the future of the peoples belonging to backward class":

Resolution:

When in resolution, lastly they "the local minister and Lallan" want "Anandkumar" to die and they send "serial killer" to kill "Anandkunar". Lastly when on verge of death, his students apply their practical knowledge to over come the goons, who are again sent to kill "Anandkumar" and they are succeeded in doing so. Lastly all students crack the examination, and the movie has happy ending.

 Narrative structure:

We learnt here "the character and his situation", conflict between "dream and reality", a struggle  emerges from the dream of going and getting education from "Cambridge university", father's death, inevitable responsiblity of homes, then a slight fluctuation in situation(as proposed by Lallan to work as a tutor in his own firm), then peripetia of doing unfair with poor people, implement of action, struggle for survival for both(one to fulfill his idealism and other for his own selfishness) and eventually the movie ends happily, with fulfillment of idealism.

The chain of the cycle suggest "his father's forthcoming death" then the stick mud, which fountains him with dirty water, suggests his poverty, the dance of students and their language, suggest poverty as well as illiteracy, and lack of practical knowledge, when in the examination hall, confront the other literate students, "that suggests oxymoron device" as it is being realised by then that they are unexpected there. Then again the situation changes, where they are applying their practical knowledge facilitate by their tutor, suggests an archetype  of future India as with "radical progression".

The movie is well equipped with all language devices, scientific, literary, rural, mathematical, political, social structural language(can be seen in terms of Lallan's behavioural aspect) and represents "lower and upper class" as the former are underprivileged for such things, while the latter are privileged by birth. So in phenomena of "Science & technology" the movie is justified in terms of all aspects of formal and informal life.

Thus we learnt here in subsequent manner, how the "structural approach" has been applied in this era's movie called "super30".
